I couldn't find a pattern I liked so I created my own. These are 3 different patterns depending on what you may want to make. Left to right, soda/beer cozy, can cozy, coffee shop cup cozy.

 

I used Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn. A H/8 5.00 mm hook.

I did Red, White and Blue, but you can use any 3 colors you like.

 

Abbreviations:

Sc = single crochet

Hdc = half double crochet

Dc = double crochet

Ss = slip stitch

Dc2tog = double crochet 2 together

 

Special stitch, dc2tog yo insert hook in next stitch, yo pull through 2 loops, yo insert hook in next stitch, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through 3 loops.

 

Can cozy

 

Ch 6 ss to first ch to join

 

Rd 1, ch 3 (counts as 1st double here and throughout) 12 dc in ring. (12)

 

Rd 2, ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, ss to ch 3 to join. (24)

 

Rd 3, ch 1, 1 sc in each dc around, ss to ch 1 to join. (24)

 

Rd 4, ch 2, in front loop only, hdc in each sc around ss to join. (24) turn

 

Rd 5, ch 3, in both loops dc in each hdc around, ss to join. (24) turn

 

Rd 6, ch 3, dc in each dc around, ss to join. (24) turn

 

Change to next color

 

Rd 7, 8, 9 repeat rd 6. Turn after each rd.

 

Change to next color.

 

Rd 10, 11, 12 repeat rd 6. Turn after each rd.

 

Rd 13 ch 1, sc in each stitch around, ss to join, fasten off.

 

 

Soda/beer bottle cozy

 

Ch 6, ss in first ch to join and form a ring.

 

Rd 1, ch 3, 12 dc in ring, ss to join, turn. (12)

 

Rd 2 ch 3, 2dc in each stitch around, ss to join, turn. (24)

 

Rd 3, Ch 3, dc in next 4 stitches, 2 dc in next, repeat around, sc in last 4 st, ss to join, turn. (28)

 

Rd 4, ch 1 in front loop only, 1 sc in each st around, ss to join, turn. (28)

 

Rd 5, ch 3, in both loops, dc in each sc around, ss to join, turn.

 

Rd 6 ch 3, dc in each dc around, ss to join, turn.

 

Change color.

 

Rds 7,8,9 repeat  rd 6, turn.

 

Change color.

 

Rd 10, 11, 12 repeat rd 6, turn.

 

Rd 13 ch 1, sc in each dc around, ss to join, fasten off.

 

 

Coffee shop cozy

 

Pattern: 10 dc, turn ch 1 hdc in next, dc in next 4, hdc in next, dc in next 4, ss to join and in next st. Ch 1 dc in each stitch. You should have 3 rows of 1 color, join next color and repeat pattern.

 

Ch 36, ss to form a ring.

 

Rd 1, ch 1 (counts as first st.) Sc in each ch around, ss to join, turn (36)

 

Rd 2, Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and next row) dc in each sc around, ss to join, turn (36).

 

Rd 3, repeat rd 2.

 

Change color and fasten off first color.

 

Join next color with ss and ch 12.

Rd 1 Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ss in next st of first color, ss in next st,

Rd 2 ch 1 dc in next 4 st, hdc in next st, dc in next 4 st, hdc in last st.

 

Rd 3 dc in each st across, join next st of first color, ss in nxt st.

 

Change color and  ss in nxt st, ch1 dc in each st across, turn.

 

Rd 5 ch 1, hdc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, hdc in dc, dc in next 4 dc, ss in nxt st of rim, ss in next st. turn.

 

Rd 6 ch 1 dc in each dc across. Join previous color and repeat pattern starting with rd 5.

 

You want 3 rows of each color around rim.

 

Ss to join, fasten off.

 

Holding 2 strands together (colors of stripes) join with ss at end of last stripe. Ch 1 and sc evenly around. Fasten off.
